League Rules

Post by Effendi(GER) »

Overview of the PSL Mini League
* 1v1 play.
* Each division has just 4 teams.
* Each team plays the other teams just once, so only 3 games to play per "season".
* Each "season" lasts just 2 weeks
* At the end of each "season", 1st place in the league gets promoted (or "wins" if in top division!), 4th place gets relegated.
* Repeat.

Rules

Fixtures: You only have 3 fixtures to play, which can be played at any point in the 2 weeks between the season starting to the season finishing. Season 5 deadline is Monday 1st June

Hosting Goalserver:
1) Create a Goalserver for the game between you. It doesn't matter who hosts a Goalserver, it doesn't create extra lag or any advantages in game.
2) Ask one of the known people able to host Goalservers without troubles; they could put one up for you two to play in.
Able to host a Goalserver normally: Effendi, anfieldscouse, mezzy, moonrat, thetud
Able to host a Goalserver via Hamachi: ronaldinosa

You can also use pes6j if needed now :)

Match Host: You play each other once: due to the way PES6 works, you both host a half each. It does not matter who hosts first, but if there is a dispute, the player listed first in the fixtures hosts.

Settings: 10 mins, Green condition, Injuries off, No Extra Time, No Penalties, Nice weather.

Team Selection: Club teams rated 4 stars or less according to viewtopic.php?f=68&t=1507 can be used. Try to stick to the same one throughout, but there is no rule to enforce this
Banned teams: F.C Barcelona, R. Madrid, A.C Milan, Inter, Chelsea, Manchester United

Player Conduct: play fairly, PSL has always been quite good in this respect. So no gay cutbacking or rounding the keeper if it can be avoided (can't be strictly outlawed, but if you get the reputation for doing them you won't last long here!). Rebounds are fair game. No hacking players down when through on goal.

Posting Results: you should arrange who does it after the game to make sure it gets done, but if in doubt, the person who hosts first posts. Take a screenshot of the results page as proof, but in all honesty I think we can all trust each other by now!

Availability for games: please try and be around in #psleague IRC chatroom on Quakenet to arrange and play games. Weekday evening/nights / Sunday evening/nights will be most common play times.

Standings: teams are ranked in the following manner in the following order
1. Points
2. Goal difference
3. Goals scored
4. Result against each other
5. If it decides a critical place (championship, promotion or relegation) 5 min-game decider, E-T on, pens: on
