Google Pays No Tax on UK Earnings

Post by Biff »

Anyone else see this? Aparently Google made £1.6 billion in advertising revenues in the UK and should have paid £450 million in corporation tax but paid bugger all as they siphon it all off to their Irish operation and pay the tax there at a lower rate. The UK is their second biggest market outside the US and I bet they are paying the tax on their US operation in the US.

I think we need a campaign like the Rage Against the Machine one to get people to use other search engines until Google pay tax on UK revenue in the UK.
