Re: Tuesday's Footy Gossip
Yeah, it isn't exactly a big deal for people who are local to go on the tour if they want to, even in snowy conditions, but it would have been more of a problem for Spurs away fans to travel up. Plus the traffic would be a lot more for a game.
There are some people who think it was postponed so we can reschedule the game for when Spurs are out of form!

Re: Tuesday's Footy Gossip
I think the humour comes from the assumption that the match was called off due to safety concerns for fans walking in and around the stadium. But the conditions were apparently good enough for them to encourage stadium tours, where presumably the same route to the ground would have been taken as matchday fans. I don't think the concept is overly complicated, even for you lot.
Re: Tuesday's Footy Gossip
Yeah because about 30 people going on a tour which is mainly indoors is the same as 40,000 people flooding the surrounding areas where the pavements are still covered in ice which at some stages it's almost impossible to stay on your feet on.
Re: Tuesday's Footy Gossip
I'd imagine there's more walking on the stadium tour than there is going to the match.
Can nothing be said about Liverpool anywhere without you professional boycotters moaning?

Re: Tuesday's Footy Gossip
Are you for real? Fucking hell.
How does it compare in the slightest? 40,000 fans on icy roads/pavements OUTSIDE the stadium, Spurs fans travelling up during chaos on roads from London, a lot of the daytrippers who have had cancelled flights
OR
A stadium tour, predominantly INDOORS where there's no danger. A tour which you can easily just say we'll just go another day and not miss the match and lose £40 on your ticket.
