THE RECENT retirement of Jason McAteer saw the game lose one of its funnier characters.
The ex-Liverpool and Republic of Ireland midfielder was dubbed 'Trigger' during his career for his similarity to the numbskull character in Only Fools and Horses.

McAteer's nickname gained cult status when he famously asked for a pizza to be cut into four slices because he wasn't that hungry.
